Getting started
An eSIM is a digital SIM that is part of your phone. Following payment you get a QR code by email; scanning it installs the data plan. It works beside your French SIM, so you keep your regular number.
Most phones released in recent years work, from the iPhone XS and Samsung Galaxy S20 to the Google Pixel 3 and beyond. An "Add eSIM" entry in your settings means you can use one.
Yes, your phone must be unlocked to use an eSIM. Contact your operator (Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Free) to check your device's status.
Yes, we recommend it. The eSIM plan only starts when you turn on data roaming in the destination country. Installing it in advance costs nothing extra.
Installation and activation
Scan the QR code from your email. iPhone users open Settings, then Mobile Data, then Add eSIM; on a Samsung go to Settings, then Connections, then SIM manager. Then follow the prompts on screen until the installation is finished.
With the eSIM installed, open your mobile settings and enable roaming for the eSIM line. The phone then attaches to the local network by itself.
No. A QR code installs on a single device only and cannot be reused afterwards. To switch to another phone, get in touch with our support team.
Check that your phone is on Wi-Fi, because installing requires internet access. If it still fails, reboot your phone and try again, or write to contact@simpartout.fr.
Payment and refunds
Cards from Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted, as are Apple Pay and Google Pay, with every payment processed securely.
You are refunded in full if the eSIM has not been installed yet, meaning the QR code was never scanned. After the code is scanned and the eSIM set up, no refund can be given.
Email contact@simpartout.fr and quote your order details; the duplicate payment is refunded within 24 hours.
Yes. A confirmation and a receipt reach you by email automatically once you have bought. Not in your inbox? Look in the junk folder, or ask our support team.
Troubleshooting
Verify roaming is enabled and the eSIM is the line selected for mobile data. Switch aeroplane mode on and then off, or reboot your phone. Still nothing? Choose a network by hand in your settings.
Speeds depend on where you are and the hour. You can pick a different operator by hand in the network settings. Unlimited plans follow a fair use policy.
Look in your spam and promotions folders: the QR code goes out the moment payment is made. If it is nowhere to be found, write to contact@simpartout.fr and we will resend it.
One device only can hold an eSIM profile. If you have not used the plan yet, our support team can issue you a fresh QR code.
